Alexander Graham who?

I went a little more than a week without a phone due to the upgrades of the cellphone towers. And while it was a mild inconvience, I learned a lot. I learned that it was a MILD inconvience. I found myself being more productive. I was concentrated on tv shows instead of multitasking. I also found myself exceedingly more annoyed with those around me that were nose deep in their own cellphones.

Honestly over the course of the last few months, I’ve found myself on social media less and less. I’ve diminished my Facebook down to roughly 300 people. Most of my newsfeed consists of groups that I belong to and enjoy. I have a whopping 12 people on my snapchat and very rarely look at instagram. I enjoy the creative aspects of tiktok, but I’ve even found myself almost nonexistant on that platform as well.

I wish I could get the time back that I’ve faceplanted into the world of cyberspace since phones became plentiful. A week without a phone didn’t kill me. Aside from appointments and work, I didn’t miss much. I was able to contact the people I needed to contact through email or simply face to face. Imagine that.

It was just a push forward in simplifying my life even more. I’m finding peace within.. and peace without.
